I don't think I will be able to get the bad joint apart.if I can I will, but plan to just drizzle some solvent around the joint and hope for some capilliary effect, then go around the edge of the joint with some JB weld. ![]() When I reline the garage ceiling (which is poorly insulated and lined in plywood, not drywall) I plan to leave an inspection hatch in this area since it seems too easy and smart not to do so, so I will have future access to it. I've found two bad joints in the abs drains so far - one was never glued, the other is glued but leaking - i got access from below in the garage which gives me a view right up behind the upstairs bath, right up to the shower head. What was a simple job of replacing a cheap vanity in the downstairs bathroom with a new, better located one has expanded across a couple of rooms and included electrical problems and who knows what.
